Judge's Comments: I enjoy the creative manner in
which “Great Horned Owl” has been portrayed. The rhythmic
textures of the chest feathers is especially nicely done. And of
course, “the eyes have it” – they look right through you!

"The Little Painter" 
Judge's Comments: “The Little Painter” is an adorable
portrait of a budding artist. Due to the strong drawing and
painting skill put into the “body language” of the child, we can
read so much into this painting; especially the pure joy of the
paint, the color, the very act of painting that we often loose as
we adult painters struggle in our own painting efforts.
