Angela Jacobsen

I moved from New York City to Scottsdale Arizona along with my husband Al,  an Army Veteran. We were seeking the sun and a calmer ambiance to live in than NYC. This was some 20 years ago.

I have always been interested in making art. As I had some free time, I took a welding class in the hope of making metal sculpture. I got hooked on it and have continued working with steel and copper since then. I have also been making jewelry in sterling silver and have explored combining glass and metal.

I was an educator for many years, teaching history and social sciences to elementary grades through high schoolers.
In Scottsdale, I worked part-time for the Salt River Indian Reservation as a fiscal officer.

Since taking up art as my new vocation I have been active showing my work with the artists communities in Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa and Fountaian Hills.

This year I have been invited to be a Guest Artist at Sudha’s Gallery and Books, 170005, E  Colony  Drive, Fountain Hills during the Tour d’ Artistes 2020.
The gallery will be open on the tour on March 6, 7, & 8, Friday- Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
It is the #1 Gallery on the map of the Tour d’ ArtisteStudio Tour 2020, in Fountain Hills.

Sudha, Patrick and I welcome you to come to the Tour and enjoy the artwork. See you soon.
