Carol Stuttard

A transplanted Englishwoman, Carol is a Master Gardener, Landscape Consultant and Horticultural Instructor at Desert Botanical Gardens. Her love of gardening is reflected in the subject matter of her watercolor paintings - plants, landscapes and other natural subjects. She is also "branching out" into a new artistic area - making repurposed garden art pieces.

She is a self taught artist, coming from a family of artists and has painted and drawn all her life. With her family all grown, she now has more time to explore her art, enjoying both the preciseness of Botanical type paintings, as well as the more loose, wet in wet techniques.

“I lose myself when I am painting and am always surprised to find a couple of hours have passed and hopefully a nice painting has been produced. Like gardening, art is wonderful therapy and so relaxing” she says.
Carol has exhibited her paintings twice at the Scottsdale Artist School Best and Brightest Show.
